Project Title: Mechanics 1 Course

Description: This fully online Mechanics 1 course was developed for an e-learning company and hosted on its self-managed Learning Management System (LMS).

The course is structured around 25 mechanics topics that students can explore in any order, providing flexibility and autonomy in their learning journey.

It also includes preparation materials for both mid-term quizzes and final exams to ensure comprehensive understanding and retention of the material.

Role and Contributions: I led the curriculum development for this course, collaborating closely with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to define the topics and instructional strategies.

I provided detailed guidance on how to present each topic and the types of activities to include, such as questions, quizzes, and tests.

Upon completion of the content creation, I meticulously reviewed and approved each page to ensure quality and coherence.

Key Features:

  • 25 self-paced mechanics topics
  • Flexible learning paths
  • Mid-term quiz preparation
  • Final term test preparation

Outcomes: The course has successfully enabled students to gain a thorough understanding of mechanics, with many reporting improved academic performance and readiness for exams.

Students ratings

Simon T.

“I took this booster class to review the material I learned in my physics program and was very pleased with how well the concepts were presented, and the framework of the course. Well expressed and relevant examples helped me fully understand the fundamental principles in mechanics. I recommend this for anyone needing a refresher course.”

Rating: 5 out of 5.

Amanda K.

“This course is structured really well. The concepts were challenging but after finishing the booster class I was able to grasp material that I had failed to understand in university. Learning at my own pace really helped take the edge off. When you’re learning how to apply the principles required to solve mechanics problems like ramps, pulleys or collisions, it helps when you have the time to process the info and review the laws on your own.”

“This is a great intro to mechanics, even for someone who hasn’t been in school for a while. I wanted to refamiliarize myself with the basics of laws of motion and this course was perfect for that..”
